When and Why Joomla or Drupal??

Joomla vs Drupal which way to go??

Lots of emerging communities of Drupal and Joomla are rocking the social media network. The community members are increasing every day. Don’t get overwhelmed which to choose; first you need to keep your vision clear, look for your general and specific requirements, and move ahead keeping in view that success and quality is the bottom line of the website development. You need to be very focused on your goal and objectives should be very transparent. I have done lots of research on internet and played putting combination of keywords, key phrases in the google search, delved into the matter which to choose, also read forums, blogs and discovered few important facts, which I am going to discuss in my post.

Joomla has proved to be the best to work providing rich and colorful templates, customization option, extensions and components available really boost your website functionalities but these are true for web designers; web developers are not so happy working with Joomla; Drupal is preferable for web developers.

Drupal provide flexibility to SEO executives as it is more search engine friendly, because it provides SEO friendly URL re-write module. Drupal’s feature to install several sites with one set up in comparison to Joomla one set up for one site installation and multiple set up for multiple site installation is really tedious and you need to update components one by one. Also the same login detail can be used for different sites in Drupal. Granting access permission on Drupal is fine tuned. Distributed network approach of Drupal makes is best CMS for online community development. Drupal supports ensemble of inbound feeds, supports blogging, non-exclusive tagging, ubiquitous outbound RSS feeds. Drupal has developed distributed community features for community networking, content creation and distribution.

When Joomla?? If the user is non-technical Joomla is better choice, no need to have earlier knowledge of the tools. Easy installation and set using mouse can be done. If you are least bothered about Joomla users of your website and access permission is not at highest priority, Joomla is best. Again, if you do not need SEO out of box, Joomla is preferred.
